Privacy policy
1 · Who we are
MicroMicro (“we”, “us”) is a small game studio. We run the website at micromicro.studio. For the purposes of data-protection law, MicroMicro is the data controller for the information described here.
Questions about anything on this page? Write to privacy@micromicro.studio and a human will answer.
2 · What we collect
We try to collect as little as we can. On this website, that means:
- Things you send us. If you send a pitch or a message, we keep the email address and text you give us, so we can reply.
- Basic, privacy-respecting analytics. Aggregate counts of page visits, with no cross-site tracking and no advertising cookies — just so we can see which pages are useful.
- Standard server logs. Like most websites, our host briefly records requests (including IP address) to keep the site running and secure.
3 · How we use it
We use the information above only to:
- run and secure the website;
- reply to your pitch or message;
- fix problems and improve the site;
- understand, in aggregate, what people find useful — never to profile you individually.
Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on your consent (for anything optional) and on our legitimate interest in running a working, secure website for the rest.
4 · What we never do
- We don’t sell your data — to advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else.
- We don’t run third-party ads or the ad-tech that comes with them.
- We don’t track you across other sites or build an advertising profile of you.
7 · Children
This website isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information we shouldn’t hold, contact us and we’ll remove it.
8 · Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, export it, or object to certain uses. We extend these choices to everyone:
- Access & export — ask us for a copy of what we hold.
- Correction & deletion — ask us to fix or remove it.
- Object — tell us to stop a particular use.
To exercise any of these, email privacy@micromicro.studio. If you’re in a region with a data-protection authority, you also have the right to complain to it.
9 · Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as it’s useful for the purpose we collected it. Messages you send us are kept until you ask us to remove them or they’re no longer relevant.
10 · Where data is handled
We and our providers may process data in more than one country. Where data crosses borders, we rely on appropriate safeguards to protect it. We’ll confirm the specific locations and safeguards here as our providers are finalised.
11 · Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures — encryption in transit, limited access — to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but keeping so little data is itself part of how we keep you safe: what we don’t hold can’t be leaked.
12 · Changes to this policy
As the studio grows, this policy may change. When it does, we’ll update the date at the top, and for anything significant we’ll flag it on the site. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
13 · Contact
For anything about your privacy or this policy, write to privacy@micromicro.studio. A person reads it.
